The morning will be spent at Borough Market, London’s premier food market. The market originated at the foot of London Bridge, but has been in its current location since 1756. It is run by a charitable trust on behalf of the community.
This is a vibrant area with a lively atmosphere to enjoy, as you browse the array of diverse food stalls.
The market consists of three main areas, Three Crown Square (larger producers & merchants); Green Market (small, specialist produce traders); Borough Market Kitchens (street food traders). Surrounding the market, you will find a complimentary blend of restaurants, bars and shops.
There will be plenty of opportunities for coffee and lunch.
If you wish to explore the area, London Bridge and the Thames is just round the corner!
After exploring the market, we will be whisked to The Shard. This is an iconic building offering, residences, offices and public spaces. We will be heading for the Viewing Gallery so expect an unparalleled 360-degree view for up to 40 miles – weather dependant of course!
You will travel in a high-speed lift to level 68 in 60 seconds, then enjoy the view from level 69 or go on up to the open-air sky deck on level 72.
